The Break the ceiling touch the sky® movement is inspired by an inspirational Mum (and home enterprise founder) – Leonie Rose, mother of House of Rose Professional Pte Ltd Chairman Anthony A. Rose who built her home based business from scratch but had no access to formal leadership training.
In 2012, Anthony while leading Corporate Affairs for Walmart Asia, had a life changing experience whilst caring for his Mum who was by then stricken with Alzheimers. To honor his mother and to support and enable women in leadership across the world in 2014 Anthony published his book “Break the ceiling touch the sky: success secrets of the world’s most inspirational women” highlighting the inspirational career paths, struggles and successes of over 40 inspirational, international women leaders. All proceeds from sale of the book go to Save the Children.
In mid 2014 Anthony moved to set up House of Rose Professional Pte Ltd. and evolved the summit to Break the ceiling touch the sky – the success and leadership summit for women® in Singapore. This has grown to editions of the summit around the world including North America, ANZ, the Middle East, Asia. New locations are being added annually. HORP has also launched Break the ceiling touch the sky 365® – year round leadership training and Break the ceiling touch the sky Online – virtual training to continue the learning and development of its participants at the summits. All enable best-practice sharing from the world’s best Companies on leadership, diversity & inclusion and success. Over 250 Global Companies leverage the brand to enable their female leaders and male champions for diversity & inclusion to success. Over 10000 women leaders have benefited to date from the brand.
In 2018 the annual Break the ceiling touch the sky Leonie Awards for global diversity & inclusion and leadership excellence were established and are presented annually since then. Break the ceiling touch the sky® continues its global journey with 2020 live Editions moved to Sept -Dec 2020 owing to recent Covid-19 challenges. Virtual training however continues. At this point the 2020 World Edition of the summit is scheduled for Nov 3, 2020 in Singapore along with the 2020 Leonie Awards.
