Max Rangel is Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific at SC Johnson and Son. In this role, Max will focus on delivering the fiscal and strategic growth targets for Asia by leveraging the Kuala Lumpur hub to deliver synergies across the region, by strengthening the capability of the marketing and sales teams, and by working with the global category leaders to define and deliver the priority growth strategies within the region. Rangel is a member of the CEC.
Prior to joining SCJ, Max was Senior Vice President, Global Cholate Category at The Hershey Company. In this role, Max led chocolate SBU growth and profit plans with input and shared goals across regions and countries. He was responsible for leading and delivering the chocolate category integrated 5-year strategy and annual plan globally. Additionally, Max led the development and execution of category innovation plans, brand and portfolio strategies, and an integrated talent strategy for the global chocolate business.
Prior to joining Hershey, Max was Vice President/General Manager, Hong Kong and Taiwan Market Hub, Asia, for Procter & Gamble where he led a team of 700 across marketing, sales, supply chain, human resources, finance, and department store counter operations. Max’s 22‑year career at P&G started in operations on the North America Folgers Coffee business. He moved on to Marketing, where he spent most of his time there in leadership roles in North America and Latin America before being promoted to General Management roles in Asia. His experience includes responsibility for a variety of consumer categories and Billion Dollar brands, including Pampers, Always, Folgers, Pantene, Herbal Essences, Gillette, Oral B, Olay, and SKII.
Max was born in Lima, Peru. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA, both from Tulane University. He is married to Carolina, has three children (Jacquie, Nick, and Felipe), and enjoys the outdoors, cycling and tennis in his spare time.
