Avishkar as the Chief People Officer at Walmart India is responsible for Growth, creating a High Performance Culture, developing the Work Force of the Future by driving the Talent strategy of the India business. He partners with leaders and provides leadership to 5000+ associates across the organisation in creating a Diverse & Inclusive environment in the company.

Walmart India is at the cusp of a huge growth trajectory and Avishkar is spearheading the people transformation journey of attracting, developing, managing and retaining high performing digitally savvy diverse talent at Walmart India.

He also provided leadership to the team in designing, developing and deploying practices which led to numerous recognition awards for the company like Great Place to Work certification, Top 10 Retail Great Place to Work Companies, Top 100 Best Workplaces in India & Top 100 Best Workplaces for Women in India.

He came to Walmart with a rich experience in building and managing global teams, spanning across functions like Technology, Six Sigma, Analytics, Operations and Human Resources while working with General Electric, GENPACT and NIIT Technologies.

Avishkar has completed General Management Program from Harvard Business School, has a Bachelor’s with major in Economics and an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering.

Avishkar is an avid biker and loves traveling.
