Rachel Catanach is responsible for FleishmanHillard’s Greater China operations and heads the firm’s reputation management practice in Asia. A former Chair of the Council of Public Relations Firms of Hong Kong, Rachel is a highly sought-after senior counsellor to clients in the government, financial services, telecom, luxury, manufacturing and hospitality sectors. Her market role includes people development, cultivating existing client relationships, and securing new business through cross-market collaboration. She has particular expertise in global brand building and corporate and financial communications, and has consulted on high-profile merger and acquisition activities, private equity deals, sensitive issues management, initial public offerings, and strategic events. Rachel is a strong advocate for the PR industry in Asia and a regular commentator on the communications challenges faced by Asian companies going global. She has received many awards including an In2 Sabre Award from The Holmes Report for Persuasive Content (2014), and a Gold Standard Award from Public Affairs Asia for Professional Excellence (2014). Under her leadership FleishmanHillard Hong Kong has won the PR Week Greater China Consultancy of the Year 2017, Marketing’s B2B Agency of the Year 2016, 2017 and Public Affairs Asia’s In-country Consultancy of the Year 2015. She is an avid reader and accomplished violinist and plays in a local Hong Kong orchestra as often as she can.
