A seasoned business executive with more than 20 years of global management experience, Miles has a strong customer focus with a consistent record of accelerating growth and building high-performing and engaged teams across diverse cultures throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim. He has a wealth of experience in supply chain, sales strategy and execution, business planning, customer and operations management, and sales force optimization.
ince 2005, Miles assumed positions of increasing responsibility at The Coca-Cola Company. Most recently, he was Senior Director, Global Commercial Leadership, tasked with enhancing value for both customers and bottlers by providing scalable commercial solutions to marketplace issues focused on revenue growth management, route to market, in-outlet execution, and unique shopper experiences. Prior to that, he led the McDonald’s business for Coca-Cola across Asia. During his 12 years with Coca-Cola, Miles lived and worked in Australia, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore.
Miles began his career with AC Nielsen, then moved to George Weston Foods (GWF), one of Australia’s largest food manufacturers, in 1998. He held a range of customer management roles, the last of which was General Manager for ColesMyer. Notably, he became the youngest business manager in the organization with the largest combined account portfolio.
Born in the UK, Miles holds a degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and an Executive MBA from Insead University in Singapore, where he is based.
Miles was a member of the McDonald’s Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA) Supplier Leadership Council and McDonald’s China Supplier Advisory Council. He is currently co-chairman of the Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) Asia Council and jury member for “Break the Ceiling Touch the Sky® Global Gender Diversity and Leadership Excellence Awards (the Leonie Awards).
