Mary Hackett, is a trusted and influential force in the Australian Oil and Gas Industry, having had successful senior executive roles in Woodside, GE Oil & Gas and Baker Hughes a GE Company.
Throughout her career, she has led cultural transformation delivering stellar outcomes for asset integrity and efficiency. Mary has turned around a significant number of large projects, bringing them back to safe outcomes, on schedule and to budget.
In her most recent role as CEO of GE Oil & Gas for ANZ & PNG, she led a large and complex business to record growth. The key to that success was a strategy centred on customer centricity, operational excellence and technology solutions.
Her greatest passion is the promotion of powerful workplaces that celebrate diversity of thought and nature whilst encouraging lean practice. Mary is a passionate advocate for women, and has mentored and developed a considerable cohort of female professionals.
Mary is a founding director of the LNG Marine Fuel Institute. She also chairs the Industry Advisory Committee for Curtin University’s School of Science & Engineering and is co-chair of the Energy Industry Collaboration Group.
A fellow of Engineers Australia, Mary holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Galway.
