Helio Fujita is currently Head People & Organization Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa for Sandoz, a member of Sandoz People & Organization Leadership Team and Sandoz Region Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa Executive Committee. He is responsible for leading the HR function across more than 100 countries in the region. Functional areas of responsibility include Talent Management, Organization Development, Organization Design, Leadership Succession, Diversity & Inclusion, High Performing Culture and High Performing Team, Training & Recruitment, employee relations.
Helio has over 20 years of professional experience in diverse roles of increasing leadership seniority across multiple industries in Latin America, Europe and Asia. His diverse experience ranges from developing complex tax planning strategies as a lawyer to leading 6 sigma lean manufacturing processes redesign, from being responsible for a HR shared services unit for more than 6000 employees to leading the strategy development and execution of a successful turnaround of a pharmaceutical business, from leading a global HR transformation project including SAP implementation to a complete review of the business model of a global business unit in the agriculture industry or from redesigning the operating model of a global R&D organization to implementing three global large-scale M&A integration projects (Abbott-Solvay; Solvay-Rhodia; Alcon-Novartis).
Since joining Sandoz in 2016 Helio acted as Head Business Transformation Sandoz working closely with the Sandoz Executive Committee and the driving strategic transformation of the division and led the HR function for Global Commercial Operations focusing on talent development and building high performance teams. Helio joined Novartis Pharma in 2014 as HR Head for Worldwide Franchise Retina / Ophthalmology and other Pharma Global Functions. Before joining Novartis, Helio worked for Syngenta, Solvay, Abbott and TRW. He graduated in Law and holds an MBA from Sao Paulo University of Brazil.
