Marcela brings over twenty years of deep international Human Resources experience at the Coca-Cola Company working in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Corporate in different roles.

Currently, she is the VP of Human Resources for ASEAN and South Pacific Operating Unit responsible for leading the cultural transformation and people strategy in the new operating unit created in January 2021.

Previous to this, Marcela was responsible for the development, integration and advancement of the Company’s diversity and inclusion strategy across the global enterprise. In her position, she provided thought leadership, strategy development and stakeholder management as it related to building, scaling and implementing the DEI priorities across the business working in partnership with business unit leaders, bottlers and stakeholders.

Before her headquarter experience in Atlanta, Marcela was the HR Director of ASEAN BU for 5 years. During her time, she led the development of the HR function in a multi-country BU including initiatives like ASEAN Life Balance, ASEAN wLinc, Acceleration of local talent and great culture with a high engagement in each of the 12 countries of the BU.

Marcela has served in various roles in the Latin American Group including the role of Human Resources Transformation Lead and in Europe where she assumed a short-term assignment in London as a Group Human Resources Manager for the Marketing Function.

Before joining The Coca-Cola Company, Marcela worked at Hewitt Associates in their headquarters in Chicago and Chilean. She started her career in Mining Companies – Exxon Mineral and Phelps Dodge Company in Human Resources.

Marcela has a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Auditor bachelor’s degree from University of Santiago de Chile and a master’s Degree in Human Resources from Catholic University of Chile. Marcela who is Chilean, currently lives in Singapore with her son, Diego and her daughter Isidora.
