Alizeh Iqbal Haider

Ex- Member of Parliament, Barrister at law, Human Rights activist and Writer

Alizeh is an outspoken human rights activist in Pakistan, fighting for rights of women, children, labourers and religious minorities. She was elected to Pakistan’s National Assembly on special seat for women. Alizeh has worked extensively for rehabilitation of victims of domestic violence and rape, campaigned against honour killing and spearheaded initiatives for release of bonded labour and elimination of child labour. Protection of children and their right to education is a cause close to her heart. She is experienced in advising governmental and semi-governmental bodies on legislative and public policy matters.
Alizeh was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn, England in Year 2000 and has been a practicing lawyer for the past 16 years.
